Anthony J. Spiga is a partner at Lester Schwab Katz & Dwyer LLP based in the firm's New York City office. He leads a litigation unit that focuses on the defense of complex tort claims involving a diverse array of property and casualty suits, including those premised upon theories of general, vehicular, product and professional liability. Additionally, the unit handles construction-related suits, civil rights actions, discrimination claims, lead poisoning and wrongful death litigation. With more than three decades of experience, Mr. Spiga has successfully represented insurance carriers, insureds, corporations and individuals in numerous complex and high profile matters. He has delivered many presentations on the finer points of litigation and negotiation skills to various insurance carriers and trade organizations. He has been a frequent presenter at the national conference of the Property and Liability Resource Bureau and is the author of a training manual for insurance claims professionals. Mr. Spiga also serves on the panel of a regional alternative dispute resolution provider as a mediator and arbitrator.
